i was prepared
i was ready
i was all set
give me another synonym...you get my drift.

but a lot can happen in a short amount of time
and all of that preparation
went to waste
and now when i need it...it came on too quickly.

what are we now?
where do we stand?
is it time for goodbye
all over again?

i can't think straight
